Booking Terms and Conditions
Drivers
- Drivers must be between 25
and 75 years of age, (there is an insurance loading
for drivers over 70) and have held a full driving
licence for the relevant vehicle for at least two
years prior to the commencement of hire. Drivers'
licence must be free of endorsements except for
minor speeding or parking offences (drivers with
more than three penalty points may be subject to an
insurance loading). Drivers who passed their test
after 1996 may be restricted on the weight of the motorhome they are permitted to drive, please
telephone to check.
- Licences must be produced
at the time of vehicle collection. In the case of UK
photo card licences both the card and the
counterpart paper licence must be produced.
Visitors from abroad must produce valid unendorsed
domestic driving licence or international driving
permit.
- The price covers one named
driver; additional drivers may be added at an
additional charge of £55.00 per driver per week
(subject to a clean licence). All drivers are
required to submit their personal details on the
booking form. The hirer and main driver at the
commencement of hire must produce personal
identification such as a valid passport
and confirmation of address in the form of a
recent (not more than 2 months old) utility
bill or a bank/building society statement.
Insurance
- Fully comprehensive
insurance for the use in the UK is included within
the hire charge. The insurance is only valid for the
period of the hire, thus any late return would
automatically constitute a traffic offence under the
Road Traffic Act. Invalid insurance means the driver
and main hirer become personally liable for any
accident damage to the motorhome, third party
property and third party personal injuries.
Insurance cover is for the vehicle and equipment
only. Personal possessions are not covered, hirers
are advised to take out holiday insurance. We
recommend cover through the insurance partnership
which can be done online at
www.insurance-partnership.com or over the phone
on 01482 213215 asking for the personal lines dept.
- A £500.00 damage deposit is
payable at commencement of hire, if the vehicle is
returned in good condition, whole and undamaged,
with a clean interior and no other excesses to be
charged, the deposit will be refunded within 7 days.
Should the condition of the vehicle be otherwise,
then repairs, replacements or cleaning costs will be
charged against the deposit. If the hirer is found
to have damaged the vehicle by negligence (i.e. no
other person or vehicle is involved) the hirer will
be responsible for the full rectification costs
which will be charged against the deposit. Front and
rear bumpers, over cab mouldings, roof lights,
windows, wing mirrors and external doors are typical
components prone to damage by negligence. A charge
of £50.00 will be made for un emptied chemical toilet
tanks.
- Hirers travelling abroad
will require a minimum of continental comprehensive
insurance and 5 star cover which will be provided by
Yorkshire Motorhome Hire at an additional cost to
the hirer of £65.00 per week.

note full payment is required 4 weeks before the start
of the hire period.
Cancellations
-
Should the hirer cancel the booking
the company will endeavour to re-hire the motorhome. If
successful the amount paid will be refunded less an
administration charge of £50.00. However if re-hire is
not successful the hirer will be liable for the deposit
and any hire charges already paid. Hirers are advised
to obtain their own holiday insurance to safeguard
against such eventualities. The Insurance Partnership as
mentioned previously in the terms will cover you for
cancellations in most cases. We reserve the right to
cancel the booking before commencement of hire if the
named drivers' licences are invalid or do not comply
with the requirements in the terms and conditions. In
this case you will forfeit the booking deposit and hire
charges already paid.
